Ray's has a large parking lot. You're free to park anywhere.
There will be plenty of food and drinks. So don't spoil your appetite. We'll have appetizers, a plated dinner, and dessert.
Get your photo taken, listen to some live music, eat, drink, talk, and have a great time. We look forward to seeing you.
We have a short period of time between the ceremony and the reception. We put together a few recommendations for what folks can do between the events!
Travel time from the University District to Ballard can vary (15–25 minutes by car), so make sure to budget accordingly.
Gas Works, Fremont, and Ballard are on the way and make for a scenic and efficient transition to Ray’s Boathouse.
Visit the Ballard Locks
Walk across the locks when the gates are closed and you might even get a chance to see a large vessel come through.
The surrounding botanical gardens are great for an easy walk.

Learn more about Scandinavian culture and enjoy the great exhibits.

Visit the University of Washington Campus
Lovely spot for a short walk and easily accessible from Blessed Sacrament Church.
Enjoy the architecture of Suzzallo Library, stroll through Red Square, or take a peek at the Quad.
Visit the Burke Museum or Henry Art Gallery
Located right on campus, the Burke Museum features natural history exhibits (dinosaurs, Northwest Native art, etc.).
The Henry Art Gallery focuses on contemporary art and often has rotating exhibits.
These museums are relatively small, so they won’t take too much time.

Visit University Village
Take a walk through U Village, and perhaps visit the Apple Temple.
Check out Green Lake
Go for a walk around the lake and watch folks play Pickleball.
Head Over to Gas Works Park
A short drive from the U District, Gas Works offers iconic views of downtown Seattle across Lake Union.
It’s a great spot for photos or a quick stroll.
Relax at Golden Gardens
Get a beach view before heading to Ray’s, Golden Gardens is a quick hop north of the restaurant.
Stroll along the water and watch boats come in and out of Shilshole Bay Marina.
